Pineapple Bobbatlu |Pineapple Holige with chana dal at House| Ugadi Sweets

✨ABOUT THE RECIPE:

▼INGREDIENTS:

Maida - 505 g

Pineapple - 122 g

kadalai paruppu / chana dal - 315 g

jaggery - 330 g

cardamom- 6

salt - 1 /4 tsp

▼PROCEDURE:

Wash the kadala paruppu (chana dal) - 315 g into the pressure pan and pour water 660 ml

keep 4 whistle on medium flame one completed turn off and wait until pressure releases fully

Take maida - 505 g add 1/4 tsp salt and dry mix it after add water - 200 ml based on the requirement

for making bobbatlu / poli it requires lot of oil to form a very soft, pliable dough

knead well and cover with tight lid for 5 hours to soak completely

drain the dal take it into the bowl and cool down fully before blending

take some cooked dal some and add chopped pineapple - 122 g & jaggery - 330 g cardamom - 6 crushed

note you must not add the coconut here sine we added pineapple

since refined form of maida is rava hence i do not make poli sweet in rava i always use chana dal even for puran poli

after blending In a kadai add ghee 1 tbsp then put the mixture and Cook until the mixture thickens around 4 to 5 min and leaves the sides of the pan

Let the filling cool, Take a lime-sized portion of the dough, flatten it, place the filling pineapple stuff ball in the center, and cover it completely

Flatten the stuffed ball on a greased banana leaf using your fingers to form a thin circle

cook the poli on low-medium flame until golden brown on both sides almost 3 to 4 min then take it into the plate

coat some ghee do not press it hardly with ladle as the jaggery gets burned so be careful

Serve warm, preferably drizzled with more ghee
