Diabetic-Friendly Kovakkai Kootu Fiber-Rich Ivy Gourd & Dal Stew Clean Eating with Kovakkai: A Wholesome Kootu Recipe
✨ABOUT THE RECIPE:
▼INGREDIENTS:
oil 2 tbsp
mustard and cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
urad dhal - 1/4 tsp
Ivy Gourd - 500 g
salt - 1/2 tsp
homemade masala - 1 tsp
water 200 ml
curry leaf some
▼PROCEDURE:
Pour oil 2 tbsp in heat pan keep flame medium
add mustard and cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp and urad dhal - 1/4 tsp let it splutter after add add sliced ivy gourd - 500 g
add some rinsed curry leaves Cook for 8 min until the vegetable becomes tender but not mushy after add salt
add 1 tsp of homemade masala
add 200 ml water and mix well cover for 20 min on simmer meanwhile stir 3 times
keep checking to avoid burning once cooked it absorbs all water completely
