Traditional South Indian Ivy Gourd Moong Dal Curry | Kundru recipe | Dondakaya Pesara pappu
✨ABOUT THE RECIPE:
▼INGREDIENTS:
3 tbsp of oil
1/4 tsp of mustard seeds
1/2 tsp of cumin seeds and urad dhal
onion - 2
tomato - 1
Kundru or Kovakkai (Ivy Gourd) 536 g
homemade masala - 1.5 tsp
salt 1 tsp
moong dhal - 106 g
water - 470 ml
▼PROCEDURE:
In a pressure cooker add 3 tbsp of oil and heat medium flame
add - 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds , 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds and urad dhal
once it splutter change flame
add 2 onion and 1 tomato chopped saute until it becomes transaparent and mashy
add chopped Kundru or Kovakkai (Ivy Gourd) 536 g
cook in medium flame for 5 minutes in oil
add homemade masala - 1.5 tsp full and salt 1 tsp
mix well together and add 470 ml water to it
now add rinsed moong dhal - 106 g along with that add curry leaves and coriander
keep 3 whistles in medium flame
after pressure releases completely open and serve with steamed rice or chapati
