Indian Ridge Gourd Curry (Turai ki Sabji)|Beerakaya Curry|Peerkangai Kootu
✨ABOUT THE RECIPE:
▼INGREDIENTS:
Toor dal - 85 g
Turai / Peerkangai / Ridge gourd -560 g excluding peel off
onion - 1
tomato - 1
water - 312 ml
homemade masala - 1tsp
salt - 1 tsp
2 dried red chilli
some curry leaves
▼PROCEDURE:
Rinsed Toor dal - 85 g and water - 312 ml
keep 3 whistle
pour some oil add mustard seeds - 1 tsp and cumin seeds - 1 tsp and urad dal - 1/4 tsp and 1 chopped onion
saute well - until onion becomes transparent add tomatoes - 1
2 dried red chilli - and some curry leaves
cut the ridge gourd 560 g excluding peel off almost 1 kg it is.. before the green colour faded and wash twice in water
Ridge gourd also called peerkangai or turai it has high water content recipe
Add homemade masala - 1 tsp and salt - 1 tsp
cover and close cook for 20 min on medium flame meanwhile stir well since it is water content no need to add water
add cooked dal into it
cook for 5 min after turn off flame
