Making Sauce with TURNIP CARROT CAPSICUM GINGER GARLIC PASTE | COCONUT added for thickness Here Before blending ginger garlic paste I saute the ginger garlic with coconuts to avoid raw smell and enhance its taste. Since I made this kurma overnight with coconut paste it cannot be consumed at morning. henceforth here what I do is I pre saute / Precook the ginger garlic and coconuts in oil after i blend into thick paste so that we can have this at morning tiffin too such as with dosa Idly. this trick will consume you time also become minimalistic. I am sharing you this trick so that overnight sauce can be consumed at morning too when you have busy schedule. You should not have sauce mixed with coconut paste for next day IF at all you want to have during your busy schedule you can pre saute the coconut paste as i shown you here and may have it.
✨ABOUT THE RECIPE:
▼INGREDIENTS:
Turnip - 2
Capsicum - 2
Carrot - 2
Tomato - 2
Onion - 2 (medium size )
Garlic - 1 full cloves
ginger - 11 inch
Coconut pieces - 50 g
Soaked Peas - 170 g (Soaked in water overnight)
Oil - 2 tbsp
Anise Seeds - 1 tsp
cinnamon - 5 small stick
cloves - 5
Homemade Masala - 2 tbsp
salt - 1 tsp
water - 1 cup
For Boiling Peas :
drop soaked peas into the cooker add 1 glass water keep 2 whistle blow
▼PROCEDURE:
Pour Oil 2 tbsp into the Pan Medium flame
Add Ginger, garlic, 1 tbsp of onion chopped and coconut saute for 5 min
This method of sauting before making ginger garlic paste avoids raw smell
I am making during night hence i am pre sauting the coconuts so that we may have it next morning too
Take into the plate allow it to cool and after blend into thick paste with water
Pour some oil to the same pan keep high flame
Add anise seeds , cinnamon , cloves let it splits and turns brownish
add chopped onion and tomato saute it for 10 minutes onions will become transparent tomatoes becomes juicy
add the fresh chopped vegetables such as turnip carrot and capsicum
Add along home made masala 2 tbsp and salt 1 tsp to taste
add one cup of water and mix well
cook on medium flame for 25 minutes
Meanwhile in pressure cooker add soaked peas and 1 glass of water keep 2 whistles on medium to high flame
after 25 minutes add the peas and blended paste into it mix well
cook again for 25 minutes in simmer
now turn off the flame and serve hot
You can use left over sauce for the next day too.
