Exploring Moplah samba Puttu with channa recipe
▼INGREDIENTS:
Organic Mapillai Samba Rice - 500 g
200 g of brown channa dhal - Brown Chick pea recommended
water 3 cups or 1200 ml
coconut - 140 g
cardamom - 4
Jaggery or country sugar - 100g
1 tsp of mustard seeds
1 tsp of jeera seeds
dried red chilli - 2
urad dhal - 1 tsp
Hing powder - 2 pinch
Salt - 1 tsp
Oil - as required
Ghee - 4 tbsp
▼PROCEDURE:
Organic Mapillai Samba Rice - 500 g
Organic Mapillai Samba or Bride Groom Rice is a native variety of rice, which is red in colour
Wash the rice in tap water
The recipe that we gonna make is extremely healthy hence be aware of the process
Washing again with tap water
Now pour drinking water and soak it overnight
200 g of brown channa dhal - Brown Chick pea recommended
Washing the chickpea with tap water
Soak in drinking water until over night
Good Morning now am draining the water
Spread over the rice in a clean cotton cloth dry under fan for half hour

Now take the rice into the jar and grind into fine powder
It seems very fine dude
Pour water 3 cups or 1200 ml
Keep in high flame
use a wet cotton cloth and place into it
Steam for 5 minutes - steams comes out
Meanwhile sprinkle some water and mix the fine rice powder for puttu consistency
bring it in the form of sticky consistency
be aware while adding water amount
This is perfect consistency like this form
after 5 min steam open the lid and pour it into the pan
now close lid keep medium flame for half hour exactly
Grind the coconut - 140 g and cardamom - 4
after half hour off the flame and leave it for 10 minutes to be in hot steam itself
Jaggery or country sugar - 100g for 500g puttu
Jaggery enhances the puttu taste
Always use quality ingredients for best outcome of the recipe
after 10 min leaving on steam now open it
It seems like a mountain cliff admirable. Isn't it ?

Now add jaggery or country sugar powder - 100g
add grinded coconut -140 g
we almost done it now mixing is the imporatant part
Add melted Ghee 4 table spoon
mix well properly so that all settles well
You can serve it will chick pea goes awesome in taste
Since curry leaf dried am soaking in water to make fresh it is a trick guys
Strain the water and wash again
Pour 600 ml water
Keep 4 whistles in medium flame
once pressure released Always remove the whistle after open the lid
I use the water for making kurma
Pour 1 tbsp oil on medium flame
1 tsp of mustard seeds let it splits
1 tsp of jeera seeds change flame simmer as it spills over
dried red chilli - 2 and urad dhal - 1 tsp
Hing powder - 2 pinch
add the boiled chick peas brownies and mix well
Salt - 1 tsp to be added as need
finally add our tricky fresh curry leaves
saute well everything and turn off the flame
Quality taste ensured Moplah samba rice puttu is ready with Brown channa
