Exploring Crispy Siru Keerai Vada: chaulai bhaji A Nutritious Spinach Fritter Delight
✨ABOUT THE RECIPE:
▼INGREDIENTS:
urad dal - 321 g
green chilli - 5 small
ginger - 5 g | garlic - 9 g
chopped onion - 1
Amaranthus leaves (Siru Keerai) - 85 g
▼PROCEDURE:
Wash and soak the urad dal - 321 g in 900 ml water for 3 and half hours. Drain well after soaking
the urad dal will split nicely if you soak properly so that good for vadas add green chilli - 5 small | ginger - 5 g | garlic - 9 g
add 1/2 tsp salt and Grind the mixture to a coarse paste, without adding water
In my previous vada recipe i added raw rice for crispyness here i did not because i grinded the mixture coarse there i blended smoothly
if you not seen it i attach that video in i section at top right corner for your reference
for grinding coarsely no need to add raw rice pls remember it
add chopped onion - 1 and Amaranthus leaves (Siru Keerai) - few its almost 85 g
combine the mixture well and soak for 10 minutes
heat oil for 7 min in high flame after change low flame for dropping vadas
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round balls or flatten them slightly to form vadas
Fry for 9 min in medium flame until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides
since we added spinach into it it takes time hardly 10 min for frying
flip over and repeat the process
